I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the wedding of actress Lorraine Stanley and her partner Mark Perez – a day filled with love, laughter, and so many personal touches.
Bridal Preparations at Luton Hoo Hotel
The morning began with bridal preparations at the stunning Luton Hoo Hotel. Nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside, this venue provided the perfect elegant backdrop for Lorraine and her bridal party as they got ready.
Lorraine, best known for her role as Karen Taylor in EastEnders and her performance in the film Legend alongside Tom Hardy, looked radiant. Her timeless bridal look was created by Portsmouth-based artist Makeup by Asha, who brought a natural glow and elegance to her style.
The Ceremony
The couple tied the knot at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Harpenden, a beautifully intimate setting for such a heartfelt ceremony. Their daughter Nancy made the sweetest flower girl, stealing everyone’s hearts as she walked down the aisle.
The Reception
Afterwards, guests gathered at a charming village pub in St Albans. With 80 guests in attendance, the atmosphere was warm and full of joy. Family and friends travelled from far and wide – from Lorraine’s hometown of Portsmouth to as far as Spain – making the celebration even more special.
A Star-Studded Guest List
Among the attendees was actor Danny Walters, who joined the couple’s celebrations with his girlfriend. The room was full of love, laughter, and the kind of energy that only comes when family, friends, and a touch of celebrity come together.
The First Dance
The couple’s first dance was to the classic “At Last” by Etta James – a truly timeless choice that perfectly captured the romance of the day.
It was an honour to capture every detail of Lorraine and Mark’s wedding day. From the elegance of Luton Hoo to the intimacy of their St Albans reception, it was a celebration filled with love, family, and memories that will last a lifetime.
